Due to the current and forecasted weather conditions for the evening and throughout the night, and out of an abundance of caution, Acting NMC President Frankie M. Eliptico has announced the closure of NMC campus as of 4:00 pm this afternoon. Further, all on-campus classes and activities after 4:00 pm are canceled. All staff and faculty should take this time to ensure the security and maintenance of classrooms, equipment, offices, and facilities.
Based on current weather forecasts from the National Weather Service, weather conditions are anticipated to improve after midnight tonight. On-campus classes and activities on Saturday, October 26, 2024, will resume as scheduled unless otherwise announced. Please continue to monitor updates through official NMC email and other College platforms in case of any changes.
Please also continue to monitor updates from the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Office, National Weather Service (Guam), and from other official sources. Note that flood warnings, high surf warnings, and other advisories are currently in effect.
