About The Foundation
The Northern Marianas College Foundation (NMCF) was officially chartered on January 27, 1997. According to the charter of incorporation, the purpose of the Foundation is to 'raise money and invest funds for the benefit of the Northern Marianas College'. The Foundation is also tasked with overseeing a fund that consists of a number of sub-funds, the largest being the NMC Land Grant Endowment Fund allocated by the federal government.
Since its inception, NMCF has supported efforts to strengthen the community through education and to improve our collective quality of life. Investing in the Northern Marianas College through the Foundation meets the interests of the entire CNMI community by expanding opportunities for personal and professional success while creating a well-trained labor force to meet economic demands. NMCF provides a vehicle for contributions of funds that support activities, goals, projects, and programs at NMC that lack funding by the government or traditional resources. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of Directors, composed of professional, business, and community leaders who are committed to advancing and strengthening educational opportunities Northern Marianas College provides for our island. The Foundation actively seeks donations from individuals and businesses through a variety of methods and fundraising activities and events.
