Who Should Fill Out the FAFSA?
- All students must submit an online FAFSA form prior to registering for the school year, including those who submitted for the previous 2025-2026 FAFSA, as the form is required every academic year.
- The following students are exempted from this requirement: International Students with a visa, DACA Students, Early Admissions Students, Non-degree seekers, and Undocumented Students.
- The 2026-2027 FAFSA form covers Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters, depending on your eligibility.
Applicant Eligibility
To qualify, you must:
- Be an undergraduate student who demonstrates exceptional financial need
- Be a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalency, such as a GED
- Have a valid Social Security Number
- Be enrolled in an eligible degree program
- Not have already earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress each term by passing at least 67% of enrolled credits and maintaining a 2.0 term/cumulative GPA or higher
How to Apply
- Complete the FAFSA Form: Log in to StudentAid.gov with your FSA ID. Students and parents must each have their own separate FSA IDs.
- Invite Your Contributor(s): A contributor may be you, a spouse, a biological or adoptive parent, or a parent's spouse who is required to provide information on the FAFSA.
- Watch for an Email from the Financial Aid Office: Once the Financial Aid Office receives your FAFSA, you will be notified through your student email about how to access Proa Portal+.
- Access Proa Portal+: Proa Portal+ will list the documents you must upload to receive your financial aid award package.
