Flexibility
We also understand that some members of our campus community may need additional time to recover from Typhoon Champi. Instructors are asked to extend flexibility to students who may need more time to recover from the storm. Supervisors are also asked to do the same for employees who need time to address storm-related needs.

Students and employees who need additional time are encouraged to reach out to their instructors, advisors, or supervisors.

Returning to Campus
Roads and sections of the campus may still be hazardous after the storm. Please use caution:

  • Allow extra travel time. Drive slowly, watch for debris, downed branches, and flooded roads, and avoid flooded parking areas. Never touch downed power lines.
  • Watch your step. Walkways may be slippery or covered in debris.
  • Report hazards. If you see debris, damage, or leaks on campus, do not touch or move them. Report them to NMC Security at (670) 287-4218.

Employees: Upon your return to the office, please report any storm damage to your supervisor, using the photos you took before the storm for comparison.

Testing Services: Questions about the SAT canceled on Saturday, Oct. 17, can be directed to Testing Coordinator Suvanna Sablan at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
