Project PROA invites you to celebrate Asian American Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Week here at the Northern Marianas College!
What is AANAPISI Week?
This year marks 15 years since Congress established the AANAPISI program on September 27, 2007, to improve the availability and quality of postsecondary education programs to support low-income, first generation Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students. AANAPISI Week commemorates the significance and achievements of AANAPISIs and provides the opportunity for organizations and institutions to celebrate the educational support of AANHPI students.
Out of 199 eligible AANAPISIs, only 30 are current AANAPISI grantees--NMC's Project PROA program being one of them.
Learn more about what AANAPISI Week means to our community by joining us throughout the week of September 26th - October 2. All events will be at the PROA Center/Archives located in NMC Bldg O. *Refreshments will be provided so come on over!
