NMC Fall Registration Ongoing Until August 21 (August 17, 2010)

Registration for the Northern Marianas College’s Fall 2010 semester will be ongoing until Saturday, August 21, 2010.

The College offers several degree and certificate programs, including bachelor of science degrees in elementary education, associate degrees in business, business administration (emphasis on accounting, business management, or computer applications), liberal arts, nursing, natural resources management, criminal justice, and hospitality management. Moreover, it offers short-term certificate programs in different vocational, academic, and professional areas.

New students are required to take the English and Math placement tests before they register. After taking the placement tests, students can obtain the required slip from the English and Math departments and meet with their academic advisors. NMC academic advisors will help new students fill in registration forms and create class schedules. Students can then finish the registration process in NMC’s Room D-1.

Application for admissions will still be accepted until the last day of Registration on Saturday, August 21, 2010, provided that both placement tests have been taken. Note the following dates below:


Fall 2010 Semester Important Dates:

August 16-20 Fall Regular Registration for ALL Students (9am ” 6pm)
August 20 Student Orientation for New Students at 9am ” 3:30pm in the NMC Library (Building O)
August 21 Late Registration (9am ” 12pm)
August 23 First Day of Fall Classes
August 23 Student Orientation for International & Evening Students at 5pm ” 8pm in the NMC Library (Building O)

Placement Test Dates:

English Placement Test Schedule

August 18 9am - 12pm (A-6/A-7)

Math Placement Test Schedule

August 19 10am - 12pm (A-5)
August 19 5pm ” 7pm (A-5)
August 20 10am - 12pm (A-5)

Ongoing students must clear any outstanding balances at the Finance Office, the Library or the Curriculum Resource Center before they can register for classes. To find out if any balances exist, students can visit the Office of Admissions and Records.
