NMC Offers Preparatory Class for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) (May 4, 2010)

The CNMI Area Health Education Center (AHEC), through the Northern Marianas College Community Development Institute (CDI), is sponsoring a preparatory class for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses. To become a licensed registered nurse, candidates in the C.N.M.I. and in the U.S. mainland must first pass the NCLEX.

To qualify to register for the course, students must have at least an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Deadline to enroll is Friday, May 7, 2010.

The CNMI Area Health Education Center (AHEC) will subsidize this review course for those individuals who are CNMI Legal Residents (i.e. United States citizens, U.S. Green Card holders, and I.R.s who are dependents of or married to U.S. citizens). Because funding is limited, subsidy is based on first-come-first-serve. Applicants are asked to submit a copy of their highest nursing degree and a valid ID, U.S. passport, driver’s license, or birth certificate for verification upon registration.
