Docomo Donates $4,000 in Cash and Prizes to the NMC Foundation (April 30, 2010)

Docomo Pacific Saipan recently donated $2,500 in cash and $1,500 worth in prizes to the Northern Marianas College Foundation to help enhance educational and professional training opportunities and to assist in its 8th Annual Open golf tournament held last Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Saipan Lao Lao Bay Golf & Resort.

“We support the Foundation’s efforts in providing doors of opportunities to students in the CNMI,” said James Nelson, general manager of Docomo Pacific Saipan. “We are proud to assist them in their efforts.”

The donation was presented in support of the 8th Annual NMC Foundation Golf Open, which is organized by the NMC Foundation. The tournament, the organization’s signature event, aims to raise critical funds to support NMC’s academic programs and services.

“My fellow Foundation members and I are thankful for Docomo’s donations,” said NMC Foundation President Ben Babauta. “The prizes are sure to entice players to play in our golf open.”

The NMC Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise funds to support the Northern Marianas College, the CNMI’s lone post-secondary educational institution. The organization is composed of individuals who are dedicated and committed to ensuring that CNMI students receive the utmost support in pursuing their educational goals.

Saipan Lao Lao Bay Golf & Resort will play host to the 8th Annual NMC Foundation Golf Open, scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2010.
