Bank of Hawaii Sponsors $25,000 Hole in One Prize for NMC Foundation Open (April 19, 2010)

To assist the Northern Marianas College Foundation raise funds at its upcoming fundraising golf tournament set for April 24, Bank of Hawaii recently became a major sponsor of a $25,000 hole in one prize.

“Our company is a strong supporter of the NMC Foundation’s efforts,” said BOH Senior Vice-President John Sheather. “The staff and management of Bank of Hawaii are happy to be a part the upcoming golf tournament.”

The prize sponsorship was presented in support of the upcoming 8th Annual Golf Foundation Open golf tournament, which is organized by the NMC Foundation. The tournament, the organization’s signature event, aims to raise critical funds to support NMC’s academic programs and services.

“We would like to thank Bank of Hawaii for its sponsorship,” said Ben Babauta, president of the NMC Foundation. “The company’s participation in this golf tournament will help the NMC Foundation’s efforts in raising funds for higher education.”

The NMC Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise funds to support the Northern Marianas College, the CNMI’s lone post-secondary educational institution. The organization is composed of individuals who are dedicated and committed to ensuring that CNMI students receive the utmost support in pursuing their educational goals.

“We are grateful for Bank of Hawaii’s commitment to sponsoring the upcoming golf tournament,” said NMC Interim President Lorraine Cabrera. “The bank’s involvement and support will help raise funds for NMC’s programs and services.”

Saipan Lao Lao Bay Golf & Resort will play host to the 8th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament, scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2010. Show time is 6:00 a.m. and shotgun start is 7:00 a.m. Registration fee is $95.00.
