KRNM Off the Air Pending Repairs (June 13, 2008)

KRNM, the public, non-commercial radio station located at Northern Marianas College, was knocked off the air Thursday morning due to technical difficulties with the transmitter. Station Manager Carl Pogue slotted in all of the replacement parts available, but that did not rectify the problem. Two different engineers will assess the problem over the next two days and will determine what is needed to resume broadcasting the station’s 24-hour array of educational and cultural programming.

For more information about the station call KRNM General Manager Carl Pogue at 234-5766. Listeners can also log on to for updates on how long the station might be off the air as a result of the current technical difficulties.
