NMC Offers Course to Improve PRAXIS Score (February 25, 2009)

The Northern Marianas College, through the Division of Community Programs and Services’ (COMPASS) Community Development Institute (CDI), is offering short-term courses to individuals preparing to take the PRAXIS I and II examinations. The courses are offered as part of the College’s mission to provide customized, continuing educational and professional development opportunities in response to community needs.

Additionally, the courses are designed to give potential test-takers an idea of what to expect on the PRAXIS I and II exams. The PRAXIS I Review will cover Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST) Math, PPST Writing, and PPST Reading; while the PRAXIS II Review will cover Literature & Language Arts, Mathematics, History & Social Studies, and Sciences. Both courses are open to all elementary teachers in the private and public school systems.

Full payment is required for admission to a class.
