NMC and DPS Commence 24th Police Cycle (August 17, 2018)

Northern Marianas College and the Department of Public Safety recently signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to commence the police academy training cycle for Tinian. Overall, this will be the 24th police cycle in the CNMI and there are sixteen cadets enlisted for the Tinian cohort. The Academy will begin on August 20, 2018, and will require the cadets to successfully pass thirteen courses that are under the College's Basic Law Enforcement Certificate Program. Seven of these courses will be taught on Saipan and six will be taught on Tinian. Upon completion, the cadets will earn thirty-nine college credits. This partnership is made possible by Northern Marianas College, Office of the Mayor of Tinian, and the Department of Public Safety.
