Northern Marianas College information Session Tonight (August 17, 2017)

(NMC) — Northern Marianas College is reminding all individuals interested in furthering their education and advancing their professional careers to attend its info session that will be held in Room D1 on campus from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017.

Those who attend the info session will qualify to have their application fee and their placement test fees waived for NMC’s upcoming Fall 2017 semester, a savings of about $75.

In addition to admissions and financial aid, the college will also be sharing information about degree programs and the Prior Learning Assessment, which awards college credit for demonstrable college-level learning obtained outside the traditional classroom setting.

The college will also afford participants an opportunity to register for classes for the Fall 2017 semester. The first day of classes is on Aug. 21, 2017.

Northern Marianas College offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in education (emphasis in elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), a bachelor of science degree in business management; associate degrees business administration (emphasis in accounting, business management, or computer applications), liberal arts (emphasis in education, health and physical education, and social work), nursing, natural resources management, criminal justice, and hospitality management.
