Marianas Variety: NMC Foundation announces 14th Annual Foundation Open Golf Tournament (February 6, 2017)

In its effort to advance post secondary education in the CNMI, the Northern Marianas College Foundation has announced that its signature event, the Annual NMC Foundation Open Golf Tournament, will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the East Course of the Laolao Bay Golf Resort. This will be the 14th year the tournament will be held.

The NMC Foundation is an all-volunteer board, committed to elevating higher education opportunities for CNMI students. All proceeds from the tournament will be used to support NMCs mission.

Its great that the NMC Foundation Open has built a loyal following of golfers and supporters who are dedicated to helping the College, said NMC Foundation President Mary Tenorio. We are appreciative of their continued support and look forward to seeing them on the golf course again this March.

The NMC Foundation also encourages other golfers who have not played in the Foundation Open before to join us this year, Tenorio added. All funds raised will go towards NMCs mission to provide more opportunities for students and help them meet their educational goals.

The entrance fee for the tournament is $100 per player.

Interested players are also invited to bring their families, friends, and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun and fundraising for a good cause. There will be six separate flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Seniors, and Ladies. There will be lots of great prizes and awards to players and sponsors.

The NMC Foundation is asking companies, organizations and individuals who are interested to sponsor holes and/or for any in-kind or cash donation to help support the only post secondary institution in the CNMI. If you would like to become a sponsor or register to play, you can contact Northern Marianas College at 237-6833.

Registration forms are available at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort and at the NMC Cashiers Office, where payments for the registration fee can be made as well.
