?Indigenous Conference to Stream Live (September 26, 2014)

The Northern Marianas Descent Corporation (NMDC) is inviting NMC students and other members of the community to its first ever Marianas Indigenous Conference, which will be held on September 29-30, 2014 (7:30am-4:30pm) at the Multi-Purpose Center, Saipan.

Conference topics include: “The Covenant and Decolonization,” “Lessons Learned from Federalization,” “Article XII,” “Submerged Lands,” and “Indigenous Language and Cultural Preservation.”

If interested in attending, please register with the Garapan Community Development Center (#670-233-8978) as seating is limited. You can also submit the registration via email to the following email: [email protected] Again, please note that because of the limited space, seating is not guaranteed. Government employees have been granted administrative leave by the CNMI Governor to attend this conference (please meet with your supervisor to make arrangements to ensure uninterrupted services).
