Country House/ Moby Dick donate $2,000 to NMC Foundation (March 31, 2011)

Country House Restaurant and Moby Dick Restaurant recently donated $2,000 to the Northern Marianas College Foundation in support of the 9th Annual Foundation Open golf tournament.

The tournament is scheduled for Saturday April 30, 2011 at Saipan Laolao Bay Golf & Resort. The tournament is NMC Foundation’s signature event, which aims to raise funds to support NMC’s academic programs and services.

“Country House and Moby Dick support the Foundation’s efforts in providing expanded educational opportunities to students of the CNMI,“ said Country House’s General Manager Katsuko Kato. “We are proud to contribute to the Foundation’s goal in raising funds for higher education.”

The NMC Foundation is a non-profit organization composed of community volunteers committed to elevating higher education opportunities for CNMI students.

“The NMC Foundation is most grateful to Country House and Moby Dick for the donation. The funds will help ensure the continuation of important programs at NMC,” said Ben Babauta, president of NMC Foundation.

The 9th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament will be held at the Saipan Laolao Bay Golf & Resort with show time at 6:00am and a shotgun start at 7:00a.m. and will follow a medal play format.

In addition to first, second and third place prizes for the flights, the event will include hole-in-one prizes. There will be six separate flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, seniors, and ladies. The entrance fee is $95 per player.
