Orientation for New NMC Students (August 19, 2010)

The Northern Marianas College will be hosting New Student Orientation on Friday, August 20, 2010, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm at the NMC Library. Orientation for international and evening students will be on Monday, August 23, 2010, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the NMC Library.

The orientation aims to teach incoming students about the various programs, services and resources available at the College. It will feature representatives from the different programs and offices of the Student Services division, such Counseling and Disability Support, Career Services, and Financial Aid.

The orientation will also feature presentations by the Associated Students of NMC on "How to Get Involved" in student activities and organizations, Dean of Student Services Leo Pangelinan on "Choosing a Major and Career," and Business Instructor Rik Villegas on "Having a Successful College Experience."

Ice breaker activities and campus tours will also be facilitated by student ambassadors from the College Access Challenge Project.
