ALL CLEAR: Classes to Resume Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019

Hafa Adai NMC Students and Employees,

We hope that you are safe and are recovering from the storm.

The CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency has announced the “All Clear” declaration for the islands of Tinian and Saipan. Earlier, a similar declaration was made for the island of Rota.

All NMC offices will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, October 9, 2019, and classes will resume as scheduled. Changes to this announcement, if any, will be promptly announced.

Some of you may need additional time to recover from the storm; please be sure to communicate with your instructors or supervisors if this is the case. We will ask everyone to extend additional flexibility to help students and employees who need additional time or assistance.

Thankfully, Northern Marianas College sustained no major damage. There are repairs and other clean up activities that are currently being undertaken by our team. We appreciate your understanding while these activities are underway. There is some residual inclement weather from the typhoon that just passed, so continue to exercise caution.

Any additional updates will be announced through:

1. NMC student and employee email

2. NMC website

3. NMC Facebook Page

4. NMC Twitter @GoProa

5. NMC Instagram

Again, please continue to exercise caution, especially when driving, and expect gusty winds and showers throughout the week.
