Marianas Variety: Agriculture Fair organizers extend deadline (July 23, 2018)

(Press Release) — The organizers of the upcoming 35th Annual Saipan Agricultural Fair have announced that the deadlines to enter the plant and animal exhibit categories have been extended.

The new deadlines are July 27, 2018, for the Plant Division and August 3, 2018, for Animal Division. Registration forms available at the Department of Lands and Natural Resources offices in Kagman and Lower Base, Office of Animal Health Services, the Garapan Public Market, and NMC CREES, Building F.

Those who would like to participate in the Youth Division category can pick up registration forms at the Northern Marianas College CREES Main office in As Terlaje.

Anyone interested in submitting an entry in any category or participating as a vendor can contact the following for more information: Plant Division - Joshua Santos, 256-3319; Animal Division - Juan Taman, 234-6169; Youth Division - Lorenza Aldan, 237-6876; and, Vendors Division: Tina D.L.G. Camacho, 256-3319.

The 35th Saipan Agricultural Fair will be held at Civic Center beach park on Saturday, August 4, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is being organized by the Saipan Agricultural Fair Association with support from DLNR and NMC CREES. All members of the community are invited to attend.

Farmers, Ranchers, and the general public are also encouraged to attend the proclamation signing scheduled for July 30, 2018, at 10 a.m. in the governor’s conference room on Capital Hill.
