Three vehicles, thousands of dollars featured as prizes at upcoming NMC Foundation Golf Tournament (March 10, 2017)

Three vehicles and thousands of dollars of prizes are up for grabs at the Annual Northern Marianas College Foundation Open golf tournament, which will be played at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort next Saturday, March 18, 2017.

The vehicles, which are all hole in one prizes, include a Toyota Tacoma from Atkins Kroll Saipan, a Mazda6i Sport from Triple J Motors, and a third vehicle from Joeten Motors which will be announced next week.

Other hole-in-one prizes also feature $5,000 each from Marianas Insurance, McDonald’s, and Pacifica Insurance Underwriters. The tournament will also feature many other items as hole and raffle prizes like airline tickets sponsored by Delta Airlines, smartphones, hotel stays, meal gift certificates, and much more.

“We are extremely grateful for the strong show of support by the many sponsors who are helping the NMC Foundation by donating in-kind or cash prizes,” said NMC President Dr. Carmen Fernandez.

The tournament will also feature cash prizes for the top three winners of each flight: the first place winner will receive $500, second place winner will receive $300, and the players placing third in each category will receive $200. There are six flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Ladies, and Seniors.

The NMC Foundation is composed of individuals who are dedicated and committed to raising funds for the College’s programs and services that ultimately benefit students. The tournament is the Foundation’s signature event.

The tournament will take place at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s East Course on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Show time is at 6am with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. Registration and payment can be made at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort or the NMC Cashier’s Office.
