NMC Announces the 6th Annual Foundation Open (April 17, 2008)

Golfers will once again meet on the links at the LaoLao Bay Golf Resort for the 6th Annual “NMC Foundation Open” golf tournament, scheduled for Saturday, April 26, with a shotgun start at 7:00 a.m. Proceeds from this event will go towards the NMC Foundation.

The tournament is a medal play format and a special double peoria on all men’s flight. In addition to first, second, and third place prizes for the flights, the tournament will include Hole-in-One prizes. The lucky golfer who makes a hole-in-one shot has a chance at winning a 2008 Mazda 3, courtesy of Triple J, or $25,000 in cash from Bank of Hawaii or another $25,000 in cash from AON Insurance or a $5,000 cash prize courtesy of Century Insurance.

There will also be a special sponsors cocktail party on April 25th at Club V (Saipan Grand Hotel) and a post-tournament banquet for players at the Hyatt poolside.

The cost of the event is only $85 per player which goes up to $100 if registered after April 19th. Interested players are invited to join their family, friends and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun and fundraising for a good cause.

The NMC Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise funds and support the Northern Marianas College, Saipan’s lone post-secondary educational institution. It is made up of individuals who are dedicated and committed to ensuring that CNMI students receive the utmost support in pursuing their educational goals.
