CHCC Program Managers Complete Leadership Training by NMC (October 4, 2013)

Twelve program managers from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC) recently completed a “Leadership and Management Training” course facilitated by the CNMI Area Health Education Center (AHEC) through the Northern Marianas College’s Community Development Institute.

The twelve CHCC program managers completed the two-day training course which was designed to sharpen the skills of managers to help them better understand and better communicate with the people they work with and supervise. The course is catered to both new and more experienced managers covering topics such as “Different Types of Communication,” “Motivation,” and “Management Stress.”

During a ceremony held at CHCC, the twelve CHCC program managers received certificates of completion from NMC’s Community Development Institute. The course was taught by NMC Business Department chairperson and instructor, Chavel Green.

“Our community needs good leaders especially in areas as important as health care so we commend CHCC’s program managers for taking time to attend this training,” said Acting CDI Director, Floyd Masga. “We wish them continued success as they continue to provide valuable services to our community.”
