Application Deadline Extended to July 24 for NMC-CREES Summer Internship on Rota (July 22, 2013)

The deadline to apply for the Northern Marianas College Cooperative Research Extension and Education Service’s (NMC-CREES) three-week summer internship in Rota has been extended to Wednesday, July 24, 2013.

The internship is open to CNMI high school juniors and seniors (for school year 2013-2014), and will begin on Monday, July 29, 2013. As part of the internship program, students will explore and learn about the fields of Plant Pathology and Nutrition at the NMC Rota Instructional Site. Note that applicants must be U.S. citizen and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Applications need to be submitted no later than 4:30 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the NMC Rota Instructional Site. Application forms are available for download at, or may be picked up at the administrative office of the NMC Rota Instructional Site.

The internship program is funded through a cooperative agreement between NMC and the University of Puerto Rico. The project is called Developing Resident Instruction in Food and Agricultural Related Sciences at Land Grant Institutions in the Pacific and Caribbean Islands, Phase VIII (Prime Award #2012-38416-19977).
