The Northern Marianas College, through the Community Development Institute (CDI) is offering discounted rates for individuals who wish to take a short-term Zumba Fitness Course that begins Monday, February 04, 2013.

Zumba is a popular fitness program inspired by Latin dance. The dance workout has been internationally marketed as “an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party.” Zumba consists of various aerobic exercises that also tone and sculpt the body.

There are many different types of Zumba Courses available nationwide. There are Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold, Aqua Zumba, and many more. This specific Zumba Course offered at NMC As Terlaje campus is the Zumba Fitness Basic Level 1 Course for beginners (Ages 16 years and older).

The Zumba Fitness Course will begin on Monday, February 04, 2013, and will continue every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until the last day on Monday, March 11, 2013. The schedule is 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the NMC Recreational Gym, As Terlaje campus.

For those who are not familiar with Zumba, the College is offering two free classes so individuals can experience the workout without any cost. The free Zumba class sessions will be offered on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm and Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm.

A discount is being offered to allow participants who refer a friend to receive a 50 percent discount (for participant and friend) half off the original fee of the course of $160. If the discount coupon is applied, the total cost for the course will be reduced to $80 per individual, which equates to $5 per class session. This coupon deal discount is good for one time usage, or a maximum of one referral.

The College is also giving out a special New Year’s discount offer to the public. A $20 discount off the regular price of the total fee for Zumba course ($160) will be given to the first 15 participants who sign up for the course and complete the registration process at CDI. The coupon deal stated earlier, could then be applied too after using this special New Year’s discount offer.

These courses are offered as part of the College’s mission to provide customized, continuing educational, professional development instruction, as well as personal enrichment opportunities in response to community needs.

It is recommended that all interested individuals register before the start of the first day of class. Full payment is required for admission to a class.
