NMC Hosts Free Info Session Jan. 7, 2013 (January 3, 2013)

Individuals interested in furthering their education and advancing their professional careers are encouraged to attend a free information session hosted by the Northern Marianas College on January 7, 2013.

The information session, which is open to all prospective students and community members, will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in Room D-1 at the College's As Terlaje campus.

College faculty, staff, and students from the different degree and certificate programs at NMC, as well as Student Services representatives from counseling, financial aid, and admissions will be on hand to provide helpful information and answer questions.

Those who attend the information session will qualify to have their application fee and their placement test fees waived for NMC's upcoming Spring 2013 semester. This represents a savings of about $75.

The College will also be accepting admissions application for the Spring 2013 semester at the info session. The deadline for submitting applications was originally on January 2, 2012, but the College is making an exception for those who attend the info session. Those who plan to submit an admission application for the Spring 2013 semester must submit it at the info session.

The Northern Marianas College offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in education (emphasis on elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), associate degrees in business, business administration (emphasis on accounting, business management, or computer applications), liberal arts, nursing, natural resources management, criminal justice, and hospitality management. Moreover, it offers short-term certificate programs in different vocational, academic, and professional areas.
