Thousands of Dollars Worth of Prizes Up for Grabs at the NMC Foundation Golf Tournament on June 30 (June 28, 2012)

There will be thousands of dollars worth of prizes up for grabs at the 10th Annual Northern Marianas College Foundation Open golf tournament set for this Saturday, June 30, 2012. The prizes include airfare tickets, a brand new 2012 Hyundai Elantra, various raffle prizes, and cash awards.

The first place winner for each flight will receive $500 and a roundtrip airfare ticket on United Airlines to various destinations in the Pacific. The second place winner will receive $300 and the players placing third in each category will receive $200. There are six flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Ladies and Seniors.

In addition to the flight prizes, there will be hole-in-one prizes including a year of free rounds of golf at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort, $25,000 from AON Insurance, and a roundtrip ticket on United Airlines.

After the golf tournament, there will also be various raffle-drawing prizes including $2,500 in products and services from Docomo, high-end luxury handbags from DFS Galleria, and much more.

The 10th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament is organized by the NMC Foundation with assistance from the College’s staff, faculty and students. The NMC Foundation is composed of community volunteers committed to elevating higher education opportunities in the CNMI.

“The NMC Foundation would like to invite golfers to come out and play for a great cause,” said NMC Foundation president Ivan Quichocho. “The event promises to be fun and memorable.”

The tournament will take place at the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort’s West Course. The golf tournament has a show time of 6:00 am with a shotgun start at 7:00 am and will follow a medal play format.

Those interested in playing can download a registration form at www.nmcnet.edu or pick up a form at the Marianas Country Club, Saipan Country Club, Dan Dan Golf Range, Kingfisher Golf Links, and All Star Sporting Goods. Forms are also available at the NMC Cashier’s Office, LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort, or Triple J Motors.

Payments for the registration fee can be made at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, Triple J Motors, and the NMC Cashier’s Office. The fee is $95 per person.
