NMC Foundation Reschedules Golf Tourney to June 30 (April 13, 2012)

The Northern Marianas College Foundation has announced that the date for the Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 30, 2012. The event will take place at the West Course of the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.

The 10th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament is the organization’s signature event that aims to raise funds to support and enhance the College’s programs and services. The NMC Foundation is composed of volunteers in the community who are committed to improving and enhancing higher education opportunities for people in the CNMI.

With a shotgun start at 7:00 am, the tournament is a medal play format. In addition to first, second and third place prizes for the different flights, the tournament will include Hole-In-One prizes. The lucky golfer who makes a hole-in-one shot at the designated sites will win significant prizes donated by the tournament’s sponsors.

The entrance fee for the tournament is only $95 per player. Interested players are also invited to bring their family, friends, and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun and fundraising for a good cause. There will be six separate flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Seniors, and Ladies.

Registration forms can be downloaded from, or picked up at the at Marianas Country Club, Saipan Country Club, Dan Dan Golf Range, Kingfisher Golf Links, Coral Ocean Point, and All Star Sporting Goods. Payments for the registration fee can be made at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, Triple J Motors, and the NMC Cashier.

The NMC Foundation is also asking companies or individuals who can contribute Education Tax Credit, monetary, or in-kind donations to sponsor the tournament. A special sponsors’ reception will be held before the tournament. Those interested in sponsoring the event or who are interested in registering to play can contact the Northern Marianas College at 234-5498 extension 1502.
