NMC Charter Day Audition Dates Set, Vendors Invited (April 11, 2012)

The Northern Marianas College 2012 Charter Day Committee will be holding auditions for the celebration’s competitions: Marianas Idol, Battle of the Bands and the NMC Glee competition.

All auditions are being held in the NMC Student Center in Building J at the College’s As Terlaje campus, and will begin at 4:00 pm. The auditions are scheduled on the following dates:

April 24, 2012 Marianas Idol Auditions

April 25, 2012 Battle of the Bands Auditions
4:00 pm

April 26, 2012 NMC Glee Auditions
4:00 pm
NMC Student Center (Bldg. J)

For the Battle of the Bands and NMC Glee auditions, groups are required to bring their own equipment.

Those interested in competing can pick up an application form from the NMC Student Center, or can download application forms at There is no application fee for any of the competitions.

Agencies, businesses, clubs and other civic organizations are invited to participate by purchasing booth space for the following categories: food/drink, specialty drinks (e.g. coffee coolers or pearl shakes), game booths, retail (arts, and crafts, toys etc.), and information.

The deadline to submit applications for booth spaces is Thursday, May 3, 2012 by 4:00 pm. Booth space is limited so applications should be submitted as soon as possible.

The booth fee is $150 with $25 of the fee refunded to the vendors upon clean up of booth space post-event and passage of inspection from Charter Day officials. For NMC clubs and nonprofit organizations, booth fees are $75 and also include a $25 refund upon booth space clean up and passage of inspection.
