NMC Tinian Adult School Celebrates 2011 Graduates (May 16, 2011)

The Northern Marianas College Adult School, a program under Adult Basic Education in Tinian, recently had its 2011 graduation celebration. The seven graduates were honored during a banquet in which close to 90 family members, friends, and Tinian officials attended.

Among those in attendance were Tinian Mayor Ramon Dela Cruz, Senator Jude Hofschneider, Senator Frank Cruz, Senator Henry San Nicolas, Councilman Joseph Cruz and Councilman Steve Cabrera. The educational partners also present were CNMI Board of Education Tinian Representative Lucy Blanco Maratita, Tinian High School Principal Julian Hofschneider, Tinian Head Start Director Evelyn Evangelista and Workforce Investment Agency Tinian representative Bernie San Nicolas. The 2011 graduates are Tano King, Regino Mundo, Charlie B. Palacios, Khystyne Atalig, Jennielyn Cruz, Eva Johanes and Dolores Emul. Mundo is also the recipient of the Highest GPA Award.

The Adult School graduates will be attending NMC’s 31st Commencement Ceremony on Saipan at the MHS Gym on Saturday, May 21, 2011.
