Docomo Pacific donates prizes for NMC Foundation Open (April 28, 2011)

In support of higher education in the CNMI, Docomo Pacific presented a $2,500 check and prizes worth about $2,500 to the Northern Marianas College Foundation. The donations were made in support of the NMC Foundation’s upcoming 9th Annual Open golf tournament. The prizes, which include a Samsung Galaxy Tab and a Samsung Galaxy Captivate Droid phone, are prizes that will be raffled off at the tournament.

“Docomo Pacific is pleased to be part of the NMC Foundation golf tournament this year,” said General Manager James Nelson. “Our company is proud to be a supporter of the NMC Foundation’s mission to advance higher education for people in the CNMI.”

The 9th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament is the organization’s signature event that aims to raise critical funds for the College’s programs and services. The NMC Foundation is a nonprofit organization composed of volunteers in the community, who are committed to improving and enhancing higher education opportunities for people in the CNMI.

“Docomo Pacific has been supporting the NMC Foundation for many years now, and we are extremely grateful that the company has provided a sizeable cash donation as well as impressive prizes that we can use for our raffle draw,” said Ivan Quichocho, NMC Foundation Vice President.

The golf tournament will be held at the Saipan LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort (West Course) on Saturday April 30, 2011 with a shotgun start at 7:00 a.m. and will follow a medal play format.

There will be six separate flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, seniors, andladies. The entrance fee is $95 per player. Registration forms can be downloaded from www.nmcnet.edu, or picked up at the NMC Cashier’s Office, Saipan Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, or Triple J Motors.

Tournament prizes for first, second and third place for the six flights include cash and roundtrip tickets (Continental Asia & Micronesia). There will also be significant hole-in-one prizes for the lucky golfer who makes the shot.
