Aon Insurance sponsors $25,000 hole-in-one prize for the NMC Foundation Open (April 25, 2011)

Aon Insurance Micronesia is sponsoring a $25,000 for the NMC Foundation Open golf tournament as a hole-in-one prize. The donation supports the Foundation’s mission in expanding educational opportunities for students in the CNMI. The $25,000 is up for grabs if a lucky golfer were to make a hole-in-one at Saipan Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s West Course at hole # 13.

The NMC Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of the Northern Marianas College and is composed of individuals dedicated to ensuring that students in the CNMI receive support in pursuingtheir educational goals. The upcoming 9th Annual Foundation Open golf tournament is the Foundation’s premier fundraising event.

“Garnering and providing support for higher education is something we are very much committed to,” said Aon regional director Rod Rankin. “Supporting NMC in its educational programs and services is necessary for the progression of higher education in the CNMI.”

As part of the Aon Corporation headquartered in Chicago, Aon Insurance Micronesia provides automobile, workmen’s compensation, homeowners, property, business, and marine insurance.

“The NMC Foundation is grateful for Aon’s continuous sponsorship,” said Ben Babauta NMC Foundation president. “The company’s participation in the golf tournament will play a major role in the success of the event.”

The 9th Annual Foundation Open golf tournament will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort (West Course). Showtime is at 6:00am with a shotgun start at 7:00am. The tournament will follow a medal play format.

There will be six separate flight categories: Men’s Championship, A, B, C, Ladies and Seniors. The prize for first place is a round trip ticket to anywhere Continental flies in Asia and Micronesia and $500 cash. For second place the prize is $300 and $200 for third place. The event will also include significant hole-in-one prizes.

Registration forms can be downloaded or picked up at the NMC Cashier’s Office, Saipan LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort, or Triple J Motors. The fee is $95 per person.
